Linn de Quebrada grew up in a rough area in San Paolo. As a black transsexual (male to female) she figured out that her body could act as the means, the weapon, to wage her own war against homophobia, which is common in Brazilian society, where only white heterosexual people are really accepted. Linn feels at ease with her sexual identity and this awareness allows her to escape gender definitions/conventions. As she says " I've broken Adam's rib. Nice to meet you, I'm the new Eve, the daughter of transsexuals and I come from darkness." This is the message she conveys with her live performances, which feature twerking, electro music, provocative and showy costumes and cutting lyrics. A real head-on attack on the status quo, carried out not only with concerts and radio interviews but also with private moments, which lays the basis for the creation of a political and personal portrait. This documentary was awarded first prize at the last Teddy Awards.
