The programme of Saturday the 27th of April. Lovers goes industry and special guests: Helmut Berger and Romina Falconi

At the Cinema Massimo – MNC, on the 28thof April continues the fourth day of the oldest festival in Europe and third in the world about LGBTQI culture (lesbians, gays, bisexuals, trans, queer and intersexuals) directed by the cineaste Irene Dionisio with Giovanni Minerba's artistic advisory, founder of the festival with Ottavio Mai.

 

It returns Lovers Goes Industry: from 10am to 8pm, at the Circolo dei lettori, the second edition of the event promoted by the Lovers Film Festival with the cultural association Drugantis and the support of Compagnia di San Paolo. The event will include discussions, pitching and one to one meetings. The goal is to make easy the networking between professionals in the industry, with particular attention on distribution of LGBTQI cinematographic products. The day is organized in collaboration with Film Commission Torino PiemonteTorino Film LabFondazione Circolo dei LettoriArci Torino UCCA APS.

 

Special guests of the day will be Helmut Bergerand Romina Falconi. Helmut Berger will be in sala Soldati at 4pm, for the homage dedicated to him in collaboration with Distretto Cinema: Gruppo di famiglia in un interno (Conversation Piece) by Luchino Visconti (Italy/France, 1974, 121') will be screened, where the existence of an old American professor is suddenly overturned. 

Romina Falconi, in the same room, at 11pm, will be the protagonist of Porn Lovers: the singer/song-writer will share all the shadows of love through an analysis of her songs. Following with the screening of two films with high erotic content:Sr. Raposo(Brasil, 2018, 23') and Mr, Leather(Brasil, 2019, 85'), both by Daniel Nolasco.

Before the event there will be an informative meeting with Romina Falconi at the Circolo dei Lettori, for a talk show with high erotic and psychologic content.

 

The Festival continues with the meetings by Fronte del Corpo at 12amin sala Soldati. With the director Elisa Moruso, long-awaited chein of the docufilm about the life of Chiara Ferragni, she will talk about female representation in a moderate intervention byChiara Sfregola, queer actress and producer.

At 4.15pm, in Sala Cabiria for the selection La verita sugli amori, carte blanche by Giovanni Minerba, is scheduled Jonas (Boys) byChristophe Charrier (France, 2018, 82'), the history about a man tormented by his traumatic past.

 

At 6,30pm we will come back in Sala Soldati, where is continuing the homage to Ira Sachs, present at the screening of Keep The Lights On(USA, 2012, 102'), the adventure of a night changes for Erik and Paul in a difficult relationship.

For the focus Pride in sala Rondolinoat 6.45pm, the film Rafiki by Wanuri Kahiu(Kenya/Southafrica/Germany/Netherlands/France/Norway/Libano, 2018, 83'), the history of two Kenyan girls forced to choose between happiness and security.

A special event you don't want to miss Miss Show Business: Judy Garland over the rainbow by/with Federico Sacchi, at 10.30pm in sala Cabiria, in collaboration with the Associazione Amiche e Amici della cultura e del Festival LGBTand with the illustrations by Clara Patella. A journey discovering the singer Judy Garland through films, albums concerts and tv appearances that made her a legend. From 9pm to 10.15pm free drink offered by the Compagnia dei Caraibi to people that have tickets for this event.

 

All day there will be feature films, short films and documentaries from the competitive sections: All The LoversReal Lovers,Irregular Loversand Future Lovers.
