33 LOVERS FILM FESTIVAL – Numbers

33 Lovers Film Festival Turin LGBTQI Visions (20th – 24th April 2018) has just ended. It saw an increase by 20 % of spectators in the cinema (from 18.000 in 2017 to 21.500 in 2018) notwithstanding its shorter duration (one day less), while the success of OFF EVENTS is confirmed with more than people.

 

This trend confirms strong sense of community which has permeated the festival. With its cinema-friendly, militant and pop spirit it stands out as a story-proof about LGBTQI rights trough cinema competitions, Special and OFF Events.  Even the number of the Festival cultural partners has increased.

 

Many International guests took part in 33 Lovers Film Festival, directed by Irene Dionisio and chaired by Giovanni Minerba, from Rupert Everett, who attended the national preview of the film The happy prince in which he performed as director and as actor. Well-known guests from the world of entertainment and culture livened up the five days of the Festival: the godmother Valeria Golino, the presenter Pino Strabioli, music guests Francesco Gabbani, Nina Zilli, Immanuel, jury members Pif, Concita De Gregorio, Margherita Giacobino, Lucia Mascino, Davide Scalenghe, Olga Gambari and Cosimo Terlizzi.

 

Many personalities involved and linked to LGBTQI world such Francesca Vecchioni or senator Monica Cirinnà gave a great contribution.
