Lucas goes to visit his sister in a small town in southern Chile. Facing the ocean and fog, he meets Antonio, a boatswain of a fishing boat. When an intense love overwhelms them, their strength and independence will become immovable in the face of the challenge of the tides. A film about two young people who are looking for their place in the world, which celebrates the love they live, without reservations. It is also a political gesture, which speaks of their freedom, their autonomy and their resilience.

Omar Zúñiga Hidalgo

Omar Zûñiga Hidalgo after graduating in Aesthetics studies cinema at New York University. In 2012 he was among the directors of the collective film The Color of Time, starring James Franco and Zach Braff. With San Cristóbal he won the Teddy Award for best short film at the Berlinale 2015. He is one of the co-founders of the production company Cinestación. The Strong Ones (2019) is his first feature film.
