Straight Up

Straight Up
by James Sweeney
Country: USA
Year: 2019
Duration: 95'

Todd is a hyper-articulate, obsessive-compulsive gay 20-year-old whose fear of dying alone leads him to a puzzling conclusion: he may not be gay, after all. When he meets Rory, an actress struggling with her string of insecurities, the two form a relationship of small talk and no sex. A razor-sharp romantic comedy that is equally classic Hollywood vintage and 21st century, exploring how flexible our definitions of love and sexuality can be.
