Director David France's very courageous investigation (How to Survive a Plague, The Death and Life of Marsha P. Johnson) collects direct testimonies from LGBTQI activists who run into unimaginable dangers to save victims from a targeted campaign of torture and brutality.

David France

David France is a director, writer and journalist. The award-winning directorial debut, How to Survive a Plague, also received - among others - an Oscar and Emmy Award nomination. His feature film The Death & Life of Marsha P. Johnson (2017) garnered numerous accolades, including the Outfest Freedom Award and a Special Jury Mention at the Sheffield International Documentary Festival. His journalistic investigations have inspired several films.
