Claudina is a traditional woman from the countryside. After her husband's death, she is forced to move with her grandson Cristobal and her daughter Alejandra. She soon meets her new neighbor Elsa who, despite being married, introduces her to true love. Constantly judged by the inhabitants of the conservative southern Chilean town where she lives and obsessed with UFO sightings, she begins a troubled journey to freedom which will eventually give her the courage to leave the past behind and understand the unalienable importance of freedom for every individual.

Nicol Ruiz

Nicol Ruiz was born in 1988 in Lautaro, Chile, and studied filmmaking at Universidad Mayor. In 2016, she wrote and directed her first feature film La nave del olvido, which was released in 2020 and screened at the Frameline44. In 2019, she directed seven of ten chapters of the television series “Los Carcamales”, for the film production company Kuarzo. At the moment, she is working on her second feature film, called Cuando la lluvia no me toca.
