What is the mystery behind the pink flamingo, the quintessential kitsch icon? What is its story? These are the questions which this documentary answers to or at least tries to. It soon becomes the hilarious survey of a sociocultural phenomenon in which the protagonist gathers all the theories and possible interpretations through a bizarre series of characters that have led him to experience the strong influence of this symbol.

Javier Polo
Javier Polo (Valencia, Spain) works as a documentary filmmaker and as a commercial director. He directed the documentaries Europe in 8 Bits (2013), which was presented at the International Film Festival of Amsterdam and broadcast on television in more than 20 countries,The Mystery of the Pink Flamingo (2020) and the short films El Ascensor (2013), Catharsis (2018), co-directed with his brother Guillermo. He also worked on the tv series "Tot anirà bé", produced by the Catalan channel TV3.
