Francesca, a female judge, is happily married with a successful and rich man. Not long before the holidays, she is asked to investigate the mysterious death of a girl, Rosa, who threw herself from the terrace of her house. She proceeds to interrogate her friends and neighbors, among which there's Veronica who, living across the street from Rosa, has witnessed the event. Francesca has a last meeting with Veronica during which they fight... Lovers' tribute to Milva, here as Veronica.

Giovanna Gagliardo
Giovanna Gagliardo (1941) wrote and directed Maternale (1978), the episode Il sogno dell’altro, which is part of the film I giochi del diavolo (1981), Via degli specchi (1983), Caldo soffocante (1991), Il riso e il pianto (1992), Bellissime 1 (2004), Bellissime 2 (2006), Vittime – Gli "Anni di piombo” (2009), Venti anni (2012). Being the partner of Hungarian director Miklós Jancsó, she worked with him on the screenplays of some of his movies.
