Italian closing event of the LGBTQI+ History Month, the first global event that celebrates the queer universe. Are You Proud? depicts the galaxy of Pride, the history of LGBTQI+ movements and related groups in the United Kingdom, with the contradictions represented by Brexit and the homophobic incitements coming from the highest levels of the State since the time of Margaret Thatcher. Revealing the fragility of human rights, not only for the LGBTQI+ community, in a heartfelt and moving investigation on seventy years of achievements, not forgetting those who still do not benefit from them.

Ashley Joiner
Ashley Joiner holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Central Saint Martins in London. He directed a series of short factual films on the themes of masculinity in homosexuality for the Being a Man festival at the Royal Festival Hall. In 2016 he launched QUEERCIRCLE, an initiative to support and promote the work of queer artists. In 2017 he curated a project for the social network Grindr making an online film series exploring facets of the homoerotic universe.
