COMIZI D'AMORE

LOVE MEETINGS
by Pier Paolo Pasolini
Country: Italy
Year: 1964
Duration: 92'

What is the relationship of Italians with sexuality? What do they think of taboo topics (we are in 1964) such as divorce, virginity, prostitution and homosexuality? From these questions arises a multifaceted investigation, in which PPP collects the testimonies, between North and South, of proletarians, well-known personalities, intellectuals, pushing its keen investigating eye in the countryside, outside the factories, on the beaches, in the cultural salons. A historically interesting and still relevant work of cinéma vérité, which unmasks the hypocrisies and contradictions of a country dominated by Catholic morality.
