Every Thursday evening the Lavender League Bowling Club takes the field with the intention of have their opponents contemplating their defeat: with purple and gold uniforms and perfect hair, the League is a club for lesbian old ladies led by Susan, the matriarch of the group. Susan's confidant is a trans guy that everyone calls X, who moved to L.A. to be an actor. When Susan dies, her trans son Alex will appear for the first time, upsetting the life of X. Death and Bowling is a dystopian film, an investigation into trans desire and into the importance of visibility, halfway between John Waters and David Lynch.

Lyle Kash

Lyle Kash is a queer American transgender filmmaker of European and South Asian ancestry. In 2018 he formed T4T Productions, a collection of artists committed to putting trans people in front of and behind the camera lens. Under the auspices of T4T Productions (shorthand for Trans for Trans) Kash wrote and directed his debut film, Death and Bowling (2021), with an almost entirely transgender cast. The film had its world premiere at Outfest in Summer 2021.
