AJ is a seventeen-year-old girl, a truly millennial, and she's inappropriate and unconventional but environmentally aware and very careful to the protection of the planet. Her annoying and conventional family forces her to spend the holidays in a summer village. She is determined not to have fun. When she discovers that the campsite doesn't even have wi-fi, she thinks she's going through the worst week of her life... Until she meets Isla, the charming lifeguard, and she falls madly in love with her. This young love makes her even question her bizarre family. Marley Morrison

Marley Morrison is a filmmaker with a video music background, his first short film Sticks & Stones (2014) screened at the BFI Future Film. In 2017 he participated in the 2016 Widening the Lens competition, earning first prize for the short film Baby Gravy (2017), a comedy about same-sex parenting. Sweetheart (2021) is Marley's first feature film, winning the Glasgow Film Festival Audience Award 2021.
