TE ESTOY AMANDO LOCAMENTE

LOVE & REVOLUTION
by Alejandro Marin
Country: Spain
Year: 2023
Duration: 110'

In the late 1970s Seville, Reme was proud that her son Miguel was the first person in their family to go to university. But what Miguel really wants is to become an artist and sing in a famous TV contest. At a time when homosexuality is a crime, Reme will find out who Miguel’s new friends are: the LGBTQI+ movement of Andalusia, ironically, founded by the Church and harshly opposed by Franco’s government. This painful and compelling story of the foundation of LGBTQI+ activism in Spain was acclaimed by critics as the beginning of Iberian Pride.
