When Paulette realizes that she has wrongly accused her daughter Linda of theft, she thinks of ways to make it up to her. A chicken with bell peppers would be just the right solution, too bad she doesn’t know how to cook. More importantly, there is a general strike outside, so how could anyone find a chicken? Fortunately, the two can count on the support of the whole neighborhood for what promises to be a real enterprise. A colorful, entertaining animated film whose rapid pace will leave you breathless. It won a César Award and will be screened here in collaboration with Rainbow Families.

Chiara Malta
Chiara Malta’s first short films were presented and won prizes at prestigious international film festivals, such as Clermont-Ferrand, Pesaro, Rome and Montréal. She directed the documentary Armando e La Politica and presented it at the Turin Film Festival in 2008. In 2019, she made her first feature film, Simple Women, featuring Jasmine Trinca, which was presented in Toronto. In 2023, with Sébastien Laudenbach, she co-directed Linda e il Pollo (Chicken for Linda!), a movie that received many prizes all over the world, as well as an award for best screenplay at the Turin Film Festival.
Sébastien Laudenbach
Sébastien Laudenbach (1973) is a director, illustrator and professor at ENSAD in Paris. He has written and directed about ten short films which were selected and awarded prizes at many international film festivals. In 2016 he directed the animated feature film The Girl without Hands, presented at Cannes and Annecy and nominated for the Césars. Chicken for Linda!, directed by Laudenbach and Chiara Malta, premiered in the Acid section of Cannes Film Festival and won at Turin Film Festival, among others.
