Matthias, a lawyer going through a tough time, and Maxime, who had a difficult childhood and is in the process of moving to Australia, have been friends forever. After losing a bet at a party, they find themselves acting in a short film: they have to kiss during their scene and with some reservations they agree to do it. This act will have serious consequences and lead them to question their identity and the relationship between them. This is the latest film by the acclaimed Canadian director (playing the role of Maxime), who presented it at the Cannes Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Queer Palm.

Xavier Dolan
Actor, screenwriter, and director, Xavier Dolan is among the most original film makers of the cinema world today. Clearly talented from a young age, he debuted with J’ai tué ma mère (I Killed My Mother) (2009), participating at the Cannes Film Festival. He then directed Les amours imaginaires (Heartbeats) (2010); Laurence Anyways (2012), winner of the Queer Palm in Cannes; Tom à la ferme (Tom at the Farm) (2013), FIPRESCI prize at the Venice Film Festival; and Mommy (2014), which shared the Jury Prize at Cannes. He later directed It’s Only The End Of The World, The Death and Life of John F. Donovan (2018), Matthias & Maxime (2019), and the TV show "The Night Logan Woke Up" (2022)
