Seattle. 2 couples (one gay, the other lesbian), one house, but different problems: the solution for all is a marriage of convenience that would guarantee US citizenship for Chris and Min and the completion of IVF for Angela and Lee. But they didn’t reckon with Min's traditionalist and sincerely homophobic grandmother, who, upon learning the happy news, arrives from Korea to arrange the ceremony. Remake of the dramedy of the same name directed by Ang Lee in 1993, revisited in the light of the problems and needs that the community is facing today. Starring Lily Gladstone (Killers of the Flower Moon), Joan Chen (The Last Emperor) and Bowen Yang (Wicked, Fire Island).

Andrew Ahn
Andrew Ahn (Los Angeles, 1985) studied English Literature at Brown University and Film Directing at the California Institute of the Arts. He wrote and directed the short films Andy (2011) and Dol (2012), and in 2016, he both wrote and directed the feature film Spa Night, which was also presented at the Lovers Film Festival and won the John Cassavetes Award. In 2019, he directed Driveways, which was nominated for the Teddy Awards, and in 2022, Fire Island. He also participated in the Sundance Film Festival, presenting The Wedding Banquet (2025).
