In a small village perched high in the Greek mountains, the friendship between Anneta, a nail technician, and Argyro, a resilient farmer, begins to unravel when Anneta becomes pregnant and decides to move to the city. As her departure approaches, Argyro, still unable to accept the change, persuades her to search for the legendary Bear’s Cave together, hidden deep in the forest. For the two women, bound by their shared condition as outsiders, strong-willed yet stifled by the world they grew up in, this may be their last moment together. Or perhaps not… Breathtaking landscapes and striking, high-contrast cinematography enhance the magical atmosphere of this vivid yet delicate melodrama, presented in Venice in 2025.

Krysianna Papadakis
Krysianna Papadakis (1995, she/they) is a Greek–New Zealander film director and screenwriter. During her university studies, she specialized in dramaturgy, comedy directing, and set design. While living in London, she worked as a theatre director and playwright before turning to cinema. She co‑wrote and co‑directed the short film Arkoudotrypa with Stergios Dinopoulos, which later became the basis for their 2025 debut feature of the same name.
Stergios Dinopoulos
Born in Ohio and raised in Athens, Stergios Dinopoulos (1995, he/him) is a director, DOP and photographer working across fiction, music videos, installations and documentaries. His short Bluebird (2021) screened at the Athens International Film Festival. Arkoudotrypa (2023), co-written and directed with Krisianna Papadakis, won at the Drama International Short Film Festival and led to Dinopoulos’s first feature, titled after the short, in 2025.
