Charlie, a young man, and Charlie, a bisexual woman, are at the peak of their hyperactive sleepover when, driven by their closeness, he tries to kiss her. He‑Charlie slips into an identity crisis: if he is gay, how can he have feelings for his best friend? She‑Charlie wonders whether the label of friendship might stand in the way of something romantic. Their sharp, comedic exchanges drive an exploration of identity and fluidity. Ultimately, they confront a simple but disarming question: how much the labels we give ourselves — and our relationships — really matter.
