For Aaron, a young and bold cam boy from Los Angeles, he can hardly believe it: a user on the platform he works for has offered him $50,000 for a night together, money that could finally change his life. But the arrangement takes an unexpected turn. In an anonymous Airbnb, Aaron comes face to face with a cryptic, mysterious figure hiding behind a balaclava. Hank, as the man calls himself, begins asking pointed questions, revealing that he knows far too much about Aaron’s online life and, above all, his past offline. A provocative, claustrophobic thriller that delves into the still largely unexplored world of online sex work, tackling controversial and often taboo themes such as pedophilia. A scandalous standout at the latest Edinburgh International Film Festival — later ostracized — the film is driven by the striking, unforgettable performances of its two leads, including Kieron Moore, known from Boots.
