On a rainy night, as Elle is about to close the bar where she works, a mysterious woman asks to be let in. Elle gradually warms to the stranger, who tells her about her beloved; yet something always seems out of place. Who is this woman? What is she really telling us? A short film that keeps us in a constant state of anticipation, inviting us to piece together the different parts of the puzzle and understand what is truly happening: a powerful metaphor for the role of memory and remembrance, in which all those moments we pass through without noticing their true importance come back to life. By defying the laws of time, we can reclaim them.

Luma Flôres
Brazilian director, illustrator and animator, Luma Flôres is the founder of the production house Anomura Filmes. Her projects include the short film Jussara (2022) and the feature film Ana, En Passant (2026). In 2024, she took part in the artistic residence AniMAM in Rio de Janeiro. How A River Is Born (2025) is her first short film as a writer and director and currently she is also working on the debut feature film No Meio de Tudo.
