A Chinese gay father wants to accompany his son and future wife to Paris, where they will celebrate their wedding. His son, however, has been deeply affected by years of silence between them and seems to give in to his mother’s request not to invite him to the ceremony. The delay of the flight to Paris forces them to spend time together and gives them a chance to finally talk. Minimal dialogue and essential imagery convey the nuances of human relationships: an elegant simplicity that allows us to identify with the characters and to see their choices with clarity.
