On a secluded beach in Greece, two groups of friends enjoy the summer: one made up of straight and the other one of queer people. The tensions between the two groups bring underlying divisions to the surface and only two of them manage to stay out of the dynamics of their respective groups and create a bond. An analytical short film that lucidly confronts every contradiction without giving up on humour. The characters forge relationships that intertwine in an ever-tightening chain: the attention paid to every glance lends the film a distinctive sense of dynamism and social depth.

Dimitris Tsakaleas & Lida Vartzioti
Dimitris Tsakaleas and Lida Vartzioti studied Fine Arts at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and took part in the Berlinale Talents programme. Their short films have been screened and awarded at major festivals and programmes such as Karlovy Vary IFF – Future Frames, the Thessaloniki IFF, and the Trieste IFF. They are currently working on Friends, Birthdays, Murder, etc., their debut feature, which has already received support from Creative Europe Media and is currently seeking additional funding.
