Fatima, a 17‑year‑old girl, is the youngest of three sisters. Born in France, she grew up in a loving family rich in traditions, yet she carries a quiet sense of not fully belonging. As a devout Muslim, she tries to navigate the fragile balance between her faith and her emerging desires. When she begins studying philosophy in Paris, a new world opens before her, suspended between whispered prayers and long‑suppressed dreams. As she tries to reconcile her heart, love, and faith, she embarks on a journey to discover her true identity. The film, based on a coming‑of‑age novel, sensitively explores the conflict that arises when personal desires clash with cultural and religious expectations. Nadia Melliti, who plays the main character, was awarded Best Actress at the most recent Cannes Film Festival.
