SUNDAY LUNCH

by Lyndon Henley Hanrahan
Country: UK
Year: 2026
Duration: 14'

Grace returns to her devoutly Catholic parents’ home with her girlfriend: she intends to come out to them during Sunday lunch. Joining them are a priest in the throes of hallucinations and her competitive brother, who announces he is now vegan, much to the bewilderment of their conservative father and a mother firmly attached to small family traditions. As in the best comedies, a whirlwind of gags builds up and culminates in the finale: a delightful short film that tackles the struggle to maintain appearances and the clash with real life.
