SWAN SONG
Country: USA
Year: 2021
Duration: 105'

The good old days seem truly gone—and far behind—for the embittered Pat Pitsenbarger, a retired high-society hairdresser now living in seclusion in an anonymous Ohio nursing home. His days blur together, one cigarette after another, until he receives a bizarre request from the executor of a longtime client’s estate... A witty, camp comedy presented at the 2021 Lovers Film Festival, whose real strength lies in the late Udo Kier. A character actor from another era, he appears perfectly at ease embodying the swan song of this nostalgic yet irresistible protagonist. With subtle self-irony, he brings a quietly symbolic depth to the film, delivering a performance of remarkable impact.
