On a rainy night, as Elle is about to close the bar where she works, a mysterious woman asks to be let in. Elle gradually warms to the stranger, who tells her about her beloved; yet something always seems out of place. Who is this woman? What is she really telling us? A short film that keeps us in a constant state of anticipation, inviting us to piece together the different parts of the puzzle and understand what is truly happening: a powerful metaphor for the role of memory and remembrance, in which all those moments we pass through without noticing their true importance come back to life. By defying the laws of time, we can reclaim them.

Jack Howard
Jack Howard was born in Nottingham and now lives and works in London. An award‑winning commercial director, he has also directed the TV shows East Mode (Comedy Central) and Andy and the Band (CBBC). In addition, Howard is one half of the comic duo Jack & Dean, which led to the creation of the sitcom of the same name, starring Jessica Hynes.
