Novelist Stéphane Belcourt has agreed to sponsor the bicentenary of a famous cognac: it’s the perfect opportunity to go back in time to where he grew up. After meeting Lucas, the son of his first love, he will have to relive a fundamental part of his life. He will be overcome by a stream of memories: an uncontrollable desire, bodies that come together, a passion that must be silenced. And this is because when they were 17 they couldn’t express their love for each other. Inspired by Philippe Besson’s masterpiece, Lie with me, a heart-breaking tale of a painful past, where memory recalls a long-lost youth.

Olivier Peyon

Olivier Peyon (1969, France) debuted in 1996 with the short film Promis, juré, which was followed by Jingle Bells (1997), selected for the Venice festival, À tes amours (2001) and Claquage après étirements (2002). In 2006 he wrote and directed his first feature film, Les petites vacances, then the documentary How I Came to Hate Math (2013), nominated for Premio César, Une vie ailleurs (2017), Latifa, le coeur au combat (co-directed by Cyril Brody), Tokyo Shaking (2021) and Arrête avec tes mensonges (2022).
