Plus an appearance by <strong>Karma B.<\/strong>, the famous duo of drag queens and performers who will be present every day at Lovers.<\/p>\n<p>The opening evening will continue at the Cinema Massimo (9 p.m., Sala Cabiria) with two screenings: the short <strong><em>Applausi<\/em><\/strong>(ITALY, 2021, 2\u2019) by<strong>Alex D\u2019Antona <\/strong>and <strong>Fabiano Tagarelli,<\/strong>and the feature-length<strong><em>In from the Side<\/em><\/strong>(UK, 2022, 134\u2019) by <strong>Matt Carter<\/strong>. The movie is about the world of gay rugby, seen from the inside:\u00a0strength, beauty, affection, and the adventures of two rugby players who break the most important rule: don&#8217;t fall in love with a teammate. Fatigue, sweat, and mud blend with the passion of the two lovers and their personal and locker room problems. Magnetic performances and a direction that pays close attention to the realism of the sport. Heavy drinking and crude jokes are part of this scene but these massive athletes also show their vulnerable side.
