{"id":3291,"date":"2023-03-10T10:17:12","date_gmt":"2023-03-10T09:17:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.loversff.com\/?p=3291"},"modified":"2023-03-10T10:17:12","modified_gmt":"2023-03-10T09:17:12","slug":"representatives-of-some-of-europes-leading-lgbtqi-festivals-will-be-the-juries-presidents-of-38-lovers-film-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.loversff.com\/en\/representatives-of-some-of-europes-leading-lgbtqi-festivals-will-be-the-juries-presidents-of-38-lovers-film-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"Representatives of some of Europe&#8217;s leading LGBTQI+ festivals will be the juries\u2019 presidents of 38 Lovers Film Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_medium\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row type_default valign_top\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Among the news of the 38 Lovers Film Festival, which will take place from <strong>18th to 23rd April 2023<\/strong> at Cinema Massimo, the three juries, <strong><u>for the first time in the festival&#8217;s history<\/u><\/strong>, <strong>will be chaired by representatives of some of Europe&#8217;s leading LGBTQI+ festivals. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the international feature film competition: <strong>Brian Robinson<\/strong>, programmer of the BFI Flare, LGBTQIA+ Film Festival in London.<br \/>\nFor the international documentary competition: <strong>Bohdan Zhuk<\/strong>, who works at the Kyiv International Film Festival Molodist, the most important Ukrainian film festival, for which he also curates the selection of Sunny Bunny, the LGBTQI+ themed program of the event.<br \/>\nFor the international short film competition: <strong>Tiina Teras<\/strong> in charge of programming at Festheart, Estonia&#8217;s first LGBTQI+ themed festival.<\/p>\n<p>The programme will include around <strong>60 titles<\/strong> including feature films, documentaries and short films <strong>from all over the world<\/strong>. Three main competitive sections: <strong><em>All The Lovers<\/em><\/strong>, international feature film competition; <strong><em>Real Lovers<\/em><\/strong>, international documentary competition and <strong><em>Future Lovers<\/em><\/strong>, international short film competition.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>The other prizes<br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong>A jury of young students will award the <strong>Young Lovers &#8211; Matthew Shepard<\/strong> prize by choosing a film from the international feature film competition.\u00a0 A special prize dedicated to <strong>Gi\u00f2 Stajano<\/strong> will be awarded. Lovers, from an idea by writer <strong>Willy Vaira<\/strong> and <strong>Claudio Carossa<\/strong>, dedicates this prize to the memory of Gi\u00f2 Stajano, one of the most important and significant figures in Italian LGBTQI culture.
