{"id":3643,"date":"2023-04-18T12:42:21","date_gmt":"2023-04-18T10:42:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.loversff.com\/?p=3643"},"modified":"2023-04-19T14:57:29","modified_gmt":"2023-04-19T12:57:29","slug":"april-19th-program-38-lovers-film-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.loversff.com\/en\/april-19th-program-38-lovers-film-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"April 19th program &#8211; 38\u00b0 Lovers Film Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_medium\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row type_default valign_top\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p><strong>Wednesday, April 19<sup>th<\/sup>, <\/strong>starts the thirty-eighth edition of the <strong>Lovers Film Festival<\/strong>, the oldest festival on LGBTQI+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer and intersex issues) directed by <strong>Vladimir Luxuria<\/strong> and founded by <strong>Giovanni Minerba<\/strong> and<strong> Ottavio Mai<\/strong>, which <strong>takes place from 18 to 23 April 2023 <\/strong>at the Cinema Massimo, the multiplex of the <strong>National Museum\u00a0 of Cinema in Turin.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Many special guests in Turin:<br \/>\nat 9.30 am at the Cinema Massimo, the scientific communicator and influencer<strong> Vincenzo Schettini<\/strong> will be the protagonist of the talk <strong>La fisica che ci piace<\/strong> for high schools, that will precede the screening of <em>Le Paradis<\/em> by Zeno Graton (France 2023). The appointment is included in the calendar of<strong> La Scuola in prima Fila<\/strong> &#8211; a project of the National Museum of Cinema realized as part of the <em>National Plan of Cinema and Images for the School <\/em>promoted by the Ministry of <strong>Culture <\/strong>and the <strong>Ministry of Education and Merit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Prominent international presence: <strong>Kodo Nishimura<\/strong> (6 pm),<strong> a Buddhist monk from Tokyo<\/strong> who began his career working as a <em>makeup artist<\/em> in the United States and collaborating on important events such as Miss Universe and NY Fashion Week. In 2015 he completed the path to become a Buddhist monk and achieved notoriety by participating in the television program <em>Queer Eye: We&#8217;re in Japan.<br \/>\n<\/em>As an <strong>activist for the rights of the LGBTQI+ community<\/strong> he has spoken at the United Nations, Yale and Stanford Universities, sparking the interest of the international press (CNN, BBC, ABC and <em>Vogue Magazine<\/em>). At Lovers, Wednesday 19<sup>th<\/sup> \u00a0at 6 pm, will officially present his latest book released in Italy and will explain his mission: to encourage and enrich others inwardly through Buddhist wisdom. And a little bit of makeup.<\/p>\n<p>At 7.30 pm will be guest of the Lovers the famous face of many successful fiction <strong>Giancarlo Commare<\/strong> who this year is in the cast of the TV series Sky Original<em> Romulus 2<\/em>, <em>of Qui non \u00e8 Hollywood on <\/em>Disney + in the film <em>Nuovo Olimpo<\/em>, directed by Ferzan \u00d6zpetek and the actor <strong>Piero Di Blasio<\/strong> protagonist of many shows including the musical <em>Alta Societ\u00e0<\/em> with Vanessa Incontrada. <strong>Commare<\/strong>, as the protagonist, and <strong>Di Blasio<\/strong>, \u00a0as director, will debut on April 26<sup>th<\/sup> at the Teatro Colosseo in Turin with the musical <strong><em>Tutti parlano di Jamie<\/em><\/strong> based on a true story and iinspired by the BBC documentary entitled <em>Jamie: Drag Queen at 16.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Hope to see you!
