Cinema Massimo, April 10-17, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 40th edition of the Lovers Film Festival<\/strong> opened yesterday, Thursday, April 10<\/strong>: an opening night with a large institutional participation and a warm audience, a tangible sign of the territory’s affinity to a Festival that has been celebrating cinema, inclusion and equal rights for forty years. Many special guests and faces beloved by Lovers: Giovanni Minerba<\/strong>, founder of the Festival; Andrea Maresca<\/strong> (aka Spiff), author of this edition’s guiding image; Andrea Occhipinti<\/strong>, founder of Lucky Red; and a foray by Karma B<\/strong>. A central moment of the evening was the meeting between Karla Sof\u00eda Gasc\u00f3n<\/strong>, award-winning star and patroness of this edition, and Artistic Director Vladimir Luxuria<\/strong>, in an intense dialogue on the issue of trans visibility.<\/p>\n

The event then moved to the Cinema Massimo, where the great Karma B<\/strong> warmed up the atmosphere with an out-of-the-box performance before the opening screening of Ga\u00ebl Morel<\/strong>‘s film Vivre, mourir, rena\u00eetre<\/em><\/strong>, introduced to the audience by the director himself.<\/p>\n

An intense start to an edition to remember!<\/p>\n
