DIARY OF DAY 2 – April 19th

The second day of the 38 Lovers Film Festival gave us moments of reflection, but also entertainment, thanks to a rich program of screenings and guests.

Thanks to the talk by Kodo Nishimura, a monk on high heels – as the title of his book states – we heard the important testimony of the first openly gay Buddhist monk, who fights for the rights of the LGBT+ community through his faith… and his make-up!
In the evening, our guests were also Piero di Blasio and Giancarlo Commare, respectively director and star of the musical Tutti parlano di Jamie, which brings to the stage the story of a 16-year-old boy who overcomes all kind of discrimination to pursue his dream of becoming a drag queen.
Finally, Priscilla gave us a beautiful performance, closing the day’s program in the best possible way.
